the marksman is better i'd say, better at conserving ammo, though the assault carbine does shred stuff up. And yet I havent found a single Marksman Carbine Silencer mod. Visually, the Marksman Carbine is one of my favourite weapons in the game, but I dislike the ACOG-style optic and curved magazine. Speaking of which, Fallout 2 is also kind of guilty of this given the FN FAL and whatnot.
